Is it the same story as the sirens or is
there a RS Plug N' Power Lamp
Module/Controller (or fully compatible
unit) that will work properly with the 49-
1000? Reason I'm asking is that I remember
actuallying seeing an X10 Lamp Module (I
think if I remember correctly) shown on the
49-1000 box. If one of these actually works
then I'm thinking you could connect a
Powerhorn into this module, set it to a
code not being used then allow the Lamp
Module to trigger it . . . . At least
that's what the manual seems to
indicate/insinuate by stating "if you want
the module controlled by another
controller, set it to any unused number".
Any thoughts on this . . . . ?

Just wanted to say that I bought a an RS
Catalog #: 61-3004 Plug N' Power Appliance
Module/Lamp Flasher and I can say that this
is fully compatible, in fact I can put it
anywhere in the house to flash a lamp, it
also states in the manual that it is safe to
use with fluorecent/low voltage bulbs like I
use (60 watts), seems like it would be fine
also being that the unit flashes in slow
pulses so it shouldn't cause any problems.
Just to test it I connected it, disabled the
siren on the 49-1000 console, let it flash
the corner lamp in the living room for about
7 minutes. However I tried hooking up the
Siren and configured it how it said if being
hooked up into a module, the relay clicks
steadily in slow pulses however, no siren.
So although this works, it doesn't seem to
be able to trigger a siren from what I can
tell so far. I am pretty satisifed though
and is a nice addition to this unit. It is
also nice to be able to turn that lamp on
from the remote, pretty high tech for a
module that only cost $12.99 for a $99.00
alarm system.

The 2 and 3 prong X10 Appliance Modules also
click on and off when the 49-1000 is
triggered. The universal module UM506 will
also.
