I want know if this Barking Dog Alarm will work with the Radio Shack Plug n Power 49-1000 alarm system.  I plan on plugging it in to an appliance module set to my house code security code.  I would like it triggered when the alarm sounds.

Thanks for any help.

You don't need to plug the Rex-10 RoboDog into an appliance module.  Just set it to the house and unit code you would have used for the appliance module, and it will trigger whenever it "sees" an on command.
* Sears Home Control System, Radio Shack Plug 'n Power, NuTone, Stanley LightMaker, BSR, HomeLink.
* Tecmar Device Master, CP290 (LightHouse), CM11A (AH), CM14A (AH2), CM15A (AHPro).

Smarthome may have sold them at one time, but now their web page says they're not available.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.

There are several up for auction on eBay.

I just got one, and played around with it for a few days.  While I still have questions myself, I have figured out somethings and can offer answers to other's questions.

I look at these forums as a repository of knowledge.  Knowledge doesn't become obsolete.  So, answering an older question is good because it might allow someone else, who is searching for an answer in the future, to find it.

Yep, guilty.   ;D

I just got one, and was searching thru here for answers, though I seem to have found more questions, than answers.

I have personally not had the best of luck with X10 components from eBay (when purchased from other than regular X10 retailer stores).  Many turned out to have intermittent problems or quirks of one sort or another.
