Powerhorn Siren(s) not working
« on: October 20, 2005, 10:52:13 AM »

I have tried 3 seperate powerhorns, 2 of the
large, one mini on my Protector Plus PS561
console and none of them sound when alarm
tripped, i have triple checked House code
and also tried setting unit code to 13..
nothing. I am sure that when I first
installed the original horn it worked.Tried
different outlets in the home as well. I
cannot believe all 3 can be faulty.. Any
thoughts ?

Try setting the Powerhorns to the house code
in use and unit code 1-4. Then use the SH624
X10 buttons on the same unit code to send a
sequence of ON-OFF [about 1 second cycles]
commands for the House Unit code the
Powerhorne is set to. After 2-4 ON OFF
cycles the Powerhorne should go off. That is
another way to test them. A RF remote on the
house unit code can also trigger a Powerhorn
with the ON OFF sequence.
