Dialer doesn't dial

hello,
I have just purchased a DS7000 X10 home
security system. Tested the alarm. It sound
s alarm when tripped, status lights are
good but it doesn't dial the phone numbers
I programmed. I think I heard the dialing
once during my several trials. But the call
didn't complete.
I have SBC DSL on my phone line. Does this
make any difference to the X10 system?

Should not make a difference with DSL. Only
thing is make sure the DS7000 is on one of
the filtered connections. I believe that
someone indicated that the unit does not
dial out with a panic trip only with a
sesnor type trip.

I have telus adsl and I have connected the
DS7000 to the phone line without the adsl
filter and it dials out ok. if I connecte
it via a adsl filter the DS7000 does not
dial out. Hope this helps

Interesting. I will have to keep thet fact
in mind. I would have thought the filtered
outlet would be better?
