Sensor Problem.........
« on: November 26, 2005, 10:24:18 PM »

I have an older X10 RS system.I installed a
new sensor about 3 weeks ago.The console
accepted it.
The other day I go to arm the system before
I leave and a solid light no flashing shows
up for this sensor.I press lights off,no
effect.I press bypass,the light goe's off.I
bypassed it but,now the light is off.I tryed
openning the window....no alarm.

I tryed reinstalling it.Batteries out 3to4
seconds on test for new code.Batteries back
in.Console on install.The Console still
shows the sensor light in old slot, the
sensor has new batteries. But still no alarm.

Is it a bad sensor? The new sensor on an old
unit? Rest of system works fine.Just not the
new sensor.....Thanks,Steven

Maybe a bad sensor. I believe others here
have interchanged RS and X10 modules between
consoles both new and old.
