Wireless Setup Doesn't Work
« on: December 20, 2005, 12:49:13 PM »

I have the following setup:
1) TM751 Transceiver
1) SS13a Switch
1) XPDF Fixture Module

I have everything set to house code H and
the Unit code for the XPDF set to 2.  I
understand the transceiver is set to Unit
Code 1 by default.  The transceiver accepts
commands from the switch fine, but the XPDF
doesn't seem to work.  I have it wired
according to the instructions as well.  Any
suggestions?

I've opted to connect the XPDF through the
wall switch instead and now it works.
However, it takes multiple presses to turn
the light on or off (very intermittent).
Are there any solutions to this?

Sounds like a signal problem on the power
line. As a test try the TM751 in a different
outlet or circuit. Most homes have a split
phase and X10 signals have problems getting
from one phase to the other. many have to
add a phase coupler to their setup. As a
test you may want to try turning on a 220
Volt Appliance like a stove or dryer and see
if the setup then works better. If it does
you need a phase coupler or finding a better
outlet to plug the TM751 into. Could also be
powerline noise. Try unpluging things like
TVs Computers surge strips etc. If that
helps a X10 powerline filter maybe needed on
the device in question.

If I have multiple TM751 (2), will they
both be controlled by one button as their
default unit code is 1?  At the same time,
will it increase the signal?  Thank you.

Maybe or may make it worse. The TM751 is not
polite. So it can step on any X10 line
signals. If both receive the same command it
is possible they will garbage the signal and
nothing will work. If only one receives the
signals as they are far enough apart or the
line signals from one can't reach the other.
It could add the needed signals in a bad
area. Guess I am saying try it if it works
you are improved, if worse then it was not a
help.

More wireless problems.
Using MS13A and V572. Works fine on on and
off but cannot change delay to off.
