I'm really interested in turning my house into a smart home. My only problem is that given all of the options and cool stuff you can do with the Insteon and X10 devices, where in the heck do I start?

I would start by exploring X10's "deals"! the prices are right and the flashy ad's are sure to suck you right in. It doesn't matter how small you start. These systems have a way of growing! Mine did. Be prepared to have fun!
