Mixing X-10 and UPB in the same home
« on: January 02, 2006, 12:43:02 AM »

I have a mixture of X-10 and UPB switches in
my home.  Does anyone else have a mixture of
lighting technologies?  If so, what are you
using?  How do you make them communicate with
each other?

There is a company called Architechtronics
(www.architechtronics.com) that has developed
an X-10 UPB bridge.  It is like a power line
signal converter or translator.  Has anyone
used this yet?  Does it work well?  What are
your results?

I have Insteon and X10, but Insteon is
backwards compatible and can also get an X10
primary Address. Though they are just in
Beta tests with a translator themselves.
Have you looked in other Automation web
sites. I would say others have the same
setup as you. Mixture of X10 and UPB.Tow I
use are:
