Phase coupler fixed all problems!

Well today I installed a phase coupler in my
main electrical box and all x 10 devices
work including active home pro with
iWitness!! If you have not installed a phase
coupler you are pretty much going to have
parts of your house that flat out do not
work.
I am now very satisfied with my entire x10
installation heretofore. Next project,
sensors!!

What's a phase coupler and what was it that
you fixed with it?  My lights go on
spontaneously.

Phase Coupler fixes [many times] a problem
with 1/2 the house; modules not responding.
Reason. Most homes are split phase. Each
half of the home is on one of them and the
rest on the other. X10 signals have problems
getting from one phase to the other. A phase
coupler passes the signals to the other
phase. In real problem homes a coupler
repeater is used. Many connect to the main
breaker box across a set of 220 Volt wires.
You can also get them to plug into things
like a electric dryer or stove power plug.
Rough thst that sometimes shows if you have
a phase problem is turn ON a 220 device like
a dryer and see if things get better.
