Years ago, using the old Actived Home (v
1.42?) I used a relay controlled by an
appliance module to turn on/off my
thermostat. The relay acted as a switch on
one of the thermostat wires. Granted, all
this did was determine when thermostat would
operate, but it did save me the expense of a
progamable thermostat.
