Weather plugin or macro condition
« on: May 06, 2005, 02:49:38 AM »

I want to use AHP with my sprinkler system
and a universal module. Can you guys create
a macro module that will check the weather
service for a forcast (i.e. 80% chance of
rain) and allow me to (1) set a threshold
percentage and (2) allow me to keep the
sprinkler system off when its raining or
expected to rain?

Ha, Ha  That's funny! (You haven't been
here long have you.)

You would be better off incorporating a
water sensor into your system. That way you
could only have the sprinkler come on only
when it was needed.

The real trick is setting it up to only
work on "odd" or "even" days during times
of watering restrictions. Now that would be
a useful feature to incorporate.

What happens when the 20% chance of rain
hits your property? You would be best to
incorporate a water sensor into your
system. The results might be a little more
satisfactory and easier to program.
