Lights Turning on by themselves
« on: October 30, 2006, 12:58:03 PM »

I have 4 - PLW01 light switches hooked up to 4 spotlights on the back of my house. Every once in awhile I will come home to see on of the lights lit up by themselves. I tred just about every house code and removed the TM51, (w/o TM51 it did get better, but now I can not use remote) no other X10's are on that house code.  I would also like the ability to control these from the remote but without the TM51 can not be done. Is there a better transceiver that will work more effeciently.
What else can I try to eliminate these problems before I give up on X-10?

There is no straight forward magic fix you'll have to spend some time trouble shooting as many things can cause problems untill you have them sorted out! ;) :D
Some things may help more than others like a Phase coupler or noise filters! ;)

The following transceiver is IMHO  much better than anything X10 has to offer. It will transceive all house codes and has excellent range. I doubt that it will do anything to help with your random on problem. ;)
