The CM15A is crap - Its RF recieve range is
virtually zero.

Say John I have to agree with you on this point I to am extremely disappointed with the range on the thing, actually this range on the CM15A isn't as good as on one of those 7 dollar transponders. Actually for me everything seems to work ok except my dust to dawn timers are all off by approximately 10 minutes, this is really  annoying. I plan on using that e-mail address you were given to see if someone get get to the bottom of this I to bought all the bells and whistles and have yet to get any assistance from support. I really don't know how or why they even released this thing as buggy as it was when they did, heck when it first came out I remember the timers didn't work at all. This is really inexcusable for a major manufacturer to put their loyal customers through this. Instead of all these patches I think they should just scrap the whole code and start all over again and fix the range issue in other words decide to put out a quality product! If this thing really worked as advertised they could sell tens of millions of them but with all the poor word of mouth going around they be lucky to get any new customers, or even keep the old ones.

In response to the comment posted by ARF1510 ..... I have two CM11 interfaces with current up-to-date software.  Neither are as reliaible as the AHP USB interface.
No matter which CM11 I use or what type of computer it is plugged into, I can expect to come back to the PC 3 or 4 hours later and find that the program has crashed.  I have not had this problem with the new USB interface.

I just wish it were possible to use the AHP software with the CM11. Maybe then I could determine where the fault lies.l

Having the old ActiveHome software crash after a few hours has been widely reported when it's installed on a  system running Windows XP, which is apparently the source of the problem.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.
