Problem with Slimline remote
« on: September 30, 2006, 02:18:36 AM »

Hello,  I'm new to this so maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I bought the Active Home Starter kit along with a fluorescent decora switch.
Active Home and the switch work together just fine, but my Slimline remote doesn't seem to control it.  When I press a button, Active Home shows the light turning off but it actually doesn't turn off.  So Active Home is reading my remote and the Fluorescent switch but isn't sending commands between the two.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Active Home is the older CM11A Serial device. Since we are on the Active Home Pro area you probably are using the CM15A and Active Home Pro software.
First I would go into the Tools Area. Hardware Configuration Tab and make sure the Tranceived House Code being used for the Slimline switch is set to be Tranceived. Many times the default is none. That results in the switch showing in the software as toggling but on X10 powerline signal being sent to the switch.
