Tried everything. Unplug, remove battery. Left it that way for a whole day but the darn thing still didn't reset. Well finally I did call customer service and they told me to do exactly the same thing for 15 minutes which of course didn't work because I had already left it without a power source for the entire day. Anyways, long story short, someone from customer svc emailed me the way to reset the console and it worked great. I am posting it here in case anyone else had the same problem.
Place the console in the INSTALL position using the red slider switch
under the SETUP door on the console. Once in the INSTALL mode, press and
hold three buttons - ARM HOME, ARM AWAY, and PANIC. Keep pressing all
three of these buttons until the zone lights go out. Once they are out,
you can then program the system using the sensors you wish to keep.
