UM506 Loud Contact

Hi,

I have A UM506 that activates kitchen counter Electroluminescent lamps. The only problem is that it's too noisy when the contact closes. Inside the UM506 is a solenoid with four wires connected to it ( yellow,blue, & 2 black). I tried measuring for voltages in hopes of installing a quite relay inside and removing the solenoid, but the voltages are erratic ranging from 150vAC- 12VDC. Any help would be appreciated.
