newbie ms14a sensor question
« on: December 07, 2006, 01:16:27 AM »

I have a MS14a sensor (set to motion only at night) C13 to turn on the ws476 light switch C13.  In AHP activity monitor, the following displays:

C13 (Front Door)
C On (Front Door)
C14
C Off
C13 (Front Door)
C Off (Front Door)
C14
C On

I thought the ons and offs were supposed to be coordinated, not opposite? ???

I had set rear door lights to C14 but they would always go off whenever someone came to the front.  :(

The MS14 has a dusk dawn sensor. It sends an on and off one address code higher than the motion code. Your case C13 is motion. C14 is dusk dawn. It is possible that light shining on it when the door is opened causes it to send an on or off on the C14 code. I believe it is mentioned in the instruction sheet about direct lighting can cause false triggers.
