X10 Compatibility

Is it possible to use the "base unit" of Stanley Mobile Control and Base System (370-2553) with ActiveHome Exterior Motion Sensor (MS14A)?

Normally one would use the ActiveHome Exterior Motion Sensor with its own RF Base Receiver.

The idea is to use the Stanley Base Unit with ActiveHome  Exterior Motion Sensor to activate lights using a wall switch module.

Yes, the x10 outside motion sensors(MS14a and MS16A) will work just fine with your system.

Hey, are you another member of the "2nd Half-of-the-Century" Club?  :D

I also have a Stanley Mobile Base (360-3093). It has a slide switch on the front to select "1-8" or "9-16". IIRC, it *ONLY* transceives the UnitCodes that the slide switch is set to. *AND*, based on it's age, I don't believe that it has "Collision Detection".

For "peace-of-mind", my recommendation is to get yourself a RR501 and let your "antique" Stanley "retire" as mine has... ;)
