I got a WS12A and tried to wire it up today and had zero luck getting it to work.
I have a single ceiling light fixture. It has 2 100w incandescent light bulbs in it. It is normally connected to wall dimmer switch. I removed the dimmer switch and attached the wires to the blue and black wires on the WS12A. I turned the power back on at the breaker and tried tapping the WS12A switch to make it come up and no luck.
So, I pry-ed the rocker off and set the code and I noticed the tiny on/off switch was not correctly put together. There's a kind of t-knob slider switch that sticks out of the main unit and then a sliding piece of plastic that is supposed to hook under the T and is basically there to bring the on/off switch to the bottom of the rocker. Except, the piece of plastic was NOT under the T meaning it had no effect if you slid it back and forth.
I fixed that and put the rocker back and tried the switch in both positions but no luck. Tapping the rocker did nothing.
I tried swapping the blue/black cables but still no luck.
I futsed with it for about 20 minutes. Reconnected the old dimmer, that still worked, re-connected the WS12A and still no luck getting the lights to turn on.
Any ideas? Is it a bad WS12A or is it something else?
