Refurb Aging Palmpads?

OK...WOW....time to update with my cheaperino palmpad fix!!

I finally took apart my palmpad with the "dead" buttons again.  Using a simple paper punch and adhesive aluminum HVAC tape, I punched out little aluminum/adhesive dots and affixed them to the conductive rubber pads on each of the buttons.  Woweee!  Better than new!  The buttons are now officially feather-touch light!

So I promptly took apart my 5 other palmpads (and one annoying TV remote with a similar problem on the four most heavily used buttons) and voila...every remote is operating like (or - actually better than) new!

Who knew it would be this easy?
