VK82A always on...is this ok?

Hello,
I emailed tech support but never received a reply.
I have the VK82A sender hooked up. Both units are always on. Is this ok for the units, or should I turn them off when not in use? I don't want to shorten their life span!

They are OK to leave on.

If your concerned about their life you can plug them into appliance modules. Set them to the same house/unit code so turning one Off or On turns the other as well!

Don't you have hissing problem? What is the distance between your Sender and the Receiver?
