4 wireless cam and only 1 transceiver
« on: March 10, 2008, 08:15:18 PM »

I have 4 wireless camera with 4 motion sensor, but only 1 wireless transceiver (white item with and extended antena and power plug in jack).
I can only connect 1 camera to transceiver therefore only able to turn on power to one of the camera when motion activated.
Do I need to buy 3 more? or I set them up wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Keep them all on the same house code.

Wireless cameras work in groups of 4 Unit Codes and the same House Code.
Example B1-B4;B5-B8;B9-B12 and B13-B16
When one in the group is turned on the other three go off. Example: B1 On will automatically turn Off B2; B3 and B4 but not one in a different group. Like B5 would not respond to a B1 Off.

Pick your codes carefully and if the cameras are spanning the groups of 4 more than one may stay on and cause interference.

Motion sensors have a Dusk Dawn feature that is House Code/Unit Code +1 Unit Code. Example B1 motion has a B2 On at Dusk and a B2 Off at Dawn. So a camera on B2 if the motion is on B1 will go on and off at dusk and dawn.

Hi, I have four cameras of which two have the Ninja mounts.  When selecting the cameras via software, I have to select Ninja for two of the cameras in order to get the movement controls.  It appears that more than one camera is on at any one time.  They are labeled B1,B2,B3,B4.  I am thinking that the Ninja selection may be causing some cameras not to power down.  Could this be the case?  If I unplug all but any one camera, signal comes through fine for each camera.

Thanks in advance,
Ed

The Ninja should go on and off like the cameras and the camera it is powering should also go on and off with it. As it powers the camera mounted to it.
Like Ninja B1 on should turn off Ninja B2 Camera B3 and Camera B4. If there is a powerline signal problem and some of the camera and Ninja power supplies are not seeing the signals. More then one maybe on as you have found out.

Angus,

plug the power supplies for the cameras into seperate electrical outlets and the switching module into it's own with nothing plugged into it. Set all to the same code and set the cameras to 1,2,3,4,etc.
