Hello All,

I am simply trying to replace some standard light switches with some automated ones.  I don't want the decora switches, or the dimmers - just regular switches, like you would buy at home depot for 50 cents.  I've searched and searched, and everything is either Decora style or it's a dimmer.  Even the x10 standard ones I've seen have a weird button on them.  I just want the standard flip type of switch.  Does anyone know where I can get what I'm looking for?

Thanks in advance!,

Scott

Smarthome has some nice looking ones. Higher priced than the push button style but more reliable.

I appreciate your response Steven.  That switch is a dimmer though.  I am looking for a switch that looks AND acts just like a regular, standard, run of the mill, home depot switch.  On/off, and that's it.  No decora, no dimmer.  There are so many companies that make these things, but I can't seem to find one.  The whole reason I'm even looking into this is because I want to control a different outlet with my light switch, and I can't run the wiring because of where it's located.  Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!  :)

Smarthome also sells switches that look identical to the one in the link I sent you to the ones that do not dim. They just cost more.

Just remember that the switch may need a neutral power wire along with the line and load one.
