VT38A camera/flood supported by OnAlert! ?
« on: August 25, 2007, 04:35:16 PM »

I have a VT38A outdoor camera/flood light.  I don't see a method to use the camera motion detector as a security trigger to turn on other lights using Active HomePro with On-Alert.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for any assistance

Reading the manual it looks like the only signals sent out by this unit are meant to turn off the other 3 cameras assigned within its "group of 4".

If you have addressed the VT38A as "A1" for instance, it will send off commands to "A2", "A3", and "A4" when motion is detected and the camera is switched on.

Maybe you can get AHP to look for the off commands to signal that motion was detected by the VT38A?

Sorry, don't have a VT38A to experiment with, so this is all "off the top of my head".
