Hello all,

This is a revision of a question from a week or so back...

I have a CM15A and a V572A Transceiver hooked up to the system. I am testing the monitored house code function of the CM15 and cannot see any activity in the log from commands received by the V572A - regardless of house code settings. I have tried monitoring all of the possible house codes and the V572A is working flawlessly yet the CM15 only seems to log activity that it has initiated. Is this correct?

I think I must be missing something here as I see other posts about people disconnecting the RF stage of the CM15, I assume they must still be monitoring house codes or what is the point of the CM15 apart from PC control? That would make macros useless, so I figure I must be doing something wrong.

I have a couple of the smart rf repeaters that work fine with the CM15 (as it is rx'ing from them of course) but the delay through the repeaters is way too long and so I am trying to eliminate the need for them. The range of the V572A is very good, way better than the CM15 or the repeaters.

Oh - I should mention that both Transceivers are working fine and I have no switching problems.

Yes it should - In fact it should see activity on any housecode.  Your V572A (I haven't personally used one) should be no different than a standard transceiver (RR501, TM751).

From this I take it that you are able to activate switches via RF and the V572a?

Assuming the CM15a hasn't locked up (try unplugging and removing the batteries for a couple of minutes to reset) you may have the two devices in areas where they can't communicate due to noise or signal absorption.

Try physically moving one of the devices closer (electrically - same circuit or powerline phase) to the other to see if they can communicate.  If so, you have either signal absorption (computers, battery chargers, TV's etc), noise (compact fluorescents), or possibly phase coupling problems (combined with either of the other two).  You can isolate this by plugging the CM15a back in it's original location and then tripping your breakers until the devices see each other.

I moved the CM15 and now it works as I had anticipated!

Everything is now coming together nicely thanks to your replies.

BTW - if anyone wants to know the x10 companions definately dont work with leviton switches. I replaced them with leviton remote slave and all is well As a bonus I now have preset dim levels without the macro's I needed with the x10 dimmers. Brilliant!

I like the HCM06(?) switches as well.  Just keep in mind that, with the resume dim feature,  if you use RF or the CM15a to dim them they will come back on to the dimmed level.  I tend to treat them as switches with AHP (on/off) and set the on level manually at the switch.
