Remote Control Sending Wrong Command
« on: February 03, 2005, 02:32:07 PM »

I have the Palm Pad Remote Control - HR12A.
Sometimes when I press a button, nothing
happens. When I check the Activity Monitor
on AHP, I see why. It is sending the wrong
signal. G8 is sending G16, even though the
toggle is set to 1-8. On rare occasions, it
sends both G8 and G16. I'm sure this would
be the case on any of the Housecodes. Is
this common, or do I have a defective
remote?

This sounds like a defective or damaged
remote. Call technical support to get it
replaced.

Good Evening,

I agree it is a defective unit.  As a temporary fix switch to the other half of the codes.  That will change the state of the MSB (Most Significant Bit) and it should eliminate the intermittent problem.  If it is out of warranty this may become the final fix.

Have Fun
