Simple solenoid switching
« on: February 20, 2008, 03:50:48 AM »

i am looking at getting my place sorted out soon and am going to be using a central hub for automation.

These touchscreens which are fantastic for rdp access
http://www.touchtronix.com/products/iptouch-121.html

and have looked at software but have yet to find something that really makes me happy, the best i have found is
http://www.embeddedautomation.com/EAHAmControl.htm

but it doesnt do sound zoning nor would i expect it to so looks like i will have to build that portion myself.

basically i am looking for a simple x10 device to do speaker wire switching to turn on and off speaker "zones"(rooms) taking multiple sources of sound as well as multiple outputs, a simple map

anybody got any ideas:
1 for hardware that does clean switching for sound
2 some decent documentation for x10 and c#, I am really quite shocked that there isnt more out there x10 would certainly move along alot faster if there were a really well documented set of API's in disperate languages.

any help would be greatly appreciated
