well, i found the warranty exchange request form like you mentioned. I filled that out two days ago, and with the exception of the automatically generated notice telling me they received my request, i haven't gotten any response through this avenue either (and yes, I'm checking my junk email folder to make sure the replies don't end up there). Anyway, this is all getting incredibly frustrating. I can't believe I'm having so much difficulty trying to make such an easy return...i guess I'm just glad that it wasn't on a major component. I would almost just break down and buy another one of these stupid sensors, but I'm definitely NOT buying it through x10.com, as a matter of principal. I'll buy through radio shack instead, even if the cost is higher. I've never had such a poor experience with a company in terms of support, it's too bad because overall I really like the system I bought, especially for the money. It seems that by taking a few minutes just to even acknowledge my problem they could have alleviated a lot of my bad feelings. I would have recommended these systems to any other home-owners I know, but now I will actively warn them against purchasing from x10.com, for if they ever have any problems with defective merchandise they are apparently going to be left out in the cold.
