X10 can do all of what you're looking for. You can control multiple "receivers" with one "transmitter" (if by receivers you mean modules, and by transmitter you mean... transceiver + software? Macros?)
X10 can poll a limited number of devices and tell you what's on & what's off.
I don't know anything about a Honeywell Vista 20p.
You like the AHP software, meaning you've used it?
Motion & timers controlling lights can be achieved without your computer running full time.
