I bought a Lot of 5 BSR X-10 Wall Switches X-10. New old-stock. on EBAY the seller stated that they are Compatible with X-10 home automation systems, the problem is that the switches work (Manually) but not with my active Home......... any ideas or suggestions?
BTW I tried two different swetches in two different places.

They certainly are OLD stock.  BSR was the original manufacturer of X10 devices.  Because they have been sitting on the shelf so long, the rotary code-setting switches may have oxidized, and are making poor connections.  It's probably a good idea to spin them around a few times to wear through any oxidation layer.

If they still don't work, you may have a problem with signal level or noise sources.  I wrote a troubleshooting series that may help:
