Low light ???? camera
« on: May 21, 2008, 04:26:22 PM »

I just purchases a single camera system to connect to my TV and to the computer with Vanguard. Absolutely no real useable instruction for vanguard, but I eventually got some help from this board. I had to install the drivers before vanguard would install, but I still see no picture.
My TV reception is very staticy with bands running down the screen, but at least I get a picture. Since this is the XX20 system using the XC22A camera, I thought it would be OK for low light situations. Not so. I need lots of light to get a picture. Rooms dim enough to see everything by eye are a total black until I switch on the overhead light.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a defective camera.
Getting through to support is impossible and I've yet to get a response by e-mail

Thanks :'(

You are not alone in your experience with the low light cams! :(
Many of X10s will out perform the lowlight cams in given the same lighting conditions!
Indoors seems to be not what these cams were made for!
Your issue with picture is the result of RF interference the forums have many threads addressing this including suggestion on how to fix! ;)
