X-10 Pro ModelPAT01
« on: August 01, 2008, 01:47:09 AM »

I just moved into a house with a X10 PRO model PAT01 transciever and a model PHr02 ON/OFF keypad, I am told it is an old unit.  It works fine, however, someone removed a "relay" , the thing that connects the 120 AC to the spa pump.  There are 3 other relays that are working fine but I am missing one.  Where can I get a new one?

Thanks

The PAT01 you have maybe old but is still made.

Find the power rating of the pump in question. Does it have a standard 120 volt plug on it or is one of the two power pins horizontal that would indicate a 20 amp outlet would be needed and a module with one on the output.

X10 and X10Pro make modules that can control a pump. Standard Appliance module would be an X10 AM468 two pin or an AM466 three pin. X10Pro PAM01 two pin; PAM02 three pin.
If you need the 20 amp style we can find that number for you.

Well X10's sales site usually has some sort of package deals with Appliance Modules. The site is geared to pushing packages and flashy ads.  :'

There are many Automation Dealers that also carry both X10 and X10Pro devices along with sites like EBay etc.

The PAT01 is the X10PRO version of the  X10 RR501 two-way transiever.   Automated Outlet http://www.automatedoutlet.com/home.php sells it for $15.99.UPS Ground Shippiing is $8.50, so order other things and save money.

What's the HP or wattage rating of your pump?  The AM468/AM466/PAM01/PAM02 appliance  modules mentioned by Brian H are rated for a 1/3 HP motor.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.

Yes a check of the  horsepower would be a good thing.
At one time I believe X10 had a heavy duty 120 volt module and I believe X10Pro may also have one.
