Help with gate alarm

I set up a gate alarm  for my pedestrian gate to my front yard.
I used a N/O magnetic switch connected to a powerflash (A3)

Macro 1(gate open)trigger A3/ON  =set flag 1 , turn on  dummy switch (M1)

Macro 2(gate closed) trigger A3/OFF=clear flag 1,turn M1 off

Macro 3, conditions: flag 1 set, trigger M1/ON= sound chime..turn M1 off...30 second delay...turn M1 on...2 second delay turn M1 off

IF the gate is left open (flag 1 set), every time A1 goes on it restarts Macro three.

The alarm system works , BUT the A3/OFF is not always heard(CM15/AHP),and Macro 3 continues to ring the chime even when the gate is closed .
I used A3 for the powerflash because "A" is the monitored house code.
Are powerflash units monitored? or am I missing the "monitored" concept?

I think you understand monitored. Monitored simply means that the interface will keep track of and "remember" the modules status... so it always knows... if it is off or on. I don't understand why you didn't run the entire macro as monitored.

Your gate macro looks a bit like my Garage Door Macro that I've used for notification and a reminders for some time now. I have delays... before the reminder starts in my macro. I also use a conditional macro... instead of a flag.

Dave I didn't run the entire macro monitored because I don't have any "A" unit codes available.
I guess I could move some things around to free up some "A" slots.
IF the powerflash is monitored, shouldn't AHP see when it is off, even if it misses the initial  A3 "off" when the mag switch opens?
What's happening is, the macro (sometimes) continues to run after the gate is closed...

AHP can't see the monitored devices... or even their true status... it merely watchs the On Off signals and remembers the status. If the (Off) signal is missed... AHP/CM15A will remember it as ON.

I think.... your macro might work better if you used conditionals... and delays. It worked for me with my Garage Door Macro.

1.  You'all refer to making the "macro monitored" - what does that mean?

Likely NOT a proper term. AHP can monitor [remember the status] of one entire house code [16 Units]... and NO MORE. My "garage door macro" depends on [is conditional upon] the the status of a module(s). Hence the module MUST be a monitored House/Unit code. The proper term for the macro... I Think is "conditional".

Yes I did mean D6... B6 was a typo. Thank you for pointing that out... I can't believe how long that has been posted in error. [I corrected it]

I never cared to publish the Garage Door Macro.. as I am sure it can be done better than I have done. I hope someone cleans it up and re-posts it as I continue to get requests for this. I know this works.. as I have been using it for months. (now years)

I originally purchased AHP (and the CM15A) only so I could run BVC. I wrote the Garage door macro to get voice announcements from my voice setup. I think a good clean reminder macro based on flags COULD be accomplished. At least.... I think a good clean basic conditional reminder macro could be created and posted.

I wish some one would jump on that.
