Sentinel Night Vision Mode
« on: November 24, 2008, 10:34:13 PM »

I recently purchased an X10 Sentinel camera.

I am VERY happy with it.

Can anyone tell me the correct way to set up the camera for  night vision.

I am getting a clear picture in night vision but it is in B&W.

Also, once it is set for night vision, does it have to be re-adjusted for daylight?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know about that camera but I'm pretty sure most night vision cameras are in black and white at night(or a shade of green)

When I first hooked it up and started fooling around with the settings
I actually had great color in night vision, but any objects that moved
left trails.

The picture was great in color, but useless as soon as there was movement.

On the web page for the Sentinel, they show the night vision in color.

They way I have it set now, it shows color during daylight and it goes to B&W at  dusk.

I found this page on setting up the starlight feature. Which looks like its in color. sorry for my last reply.
but it does say in places with little motion. So you might get the streaking if the motion is to fast.
