Smart Macros Plug-in
« on: January 07, 2005, 01:14:25 PM »

Before installing Smart Macros, I had
macros that seemed to be working, and AHP
seemed to be working for me.  I tried
controlling Christmas light with Smart
Macros and not only did they not work, but
my timers were erratic or did not work in
some cases.  I have now erased all of the
macros and timers, and AHP in general are
back to working normally i.e. my problems
were nearly all in the Smart Macros and not
AHP.

Recently I have had the same problem with a few differences.  My AHP was working fine.  I installed a RF range extender V572AB.  Now my macros only work about 10% of the time.  So I disconected the V572AB.  The problem still exists.  I have spent some time with this and it appears that CM15A is the problem.  All of the remotes and timers work fine, only something attached with a macro to it will not work consistently.

I hate to buy another CM15A if I don't need it, I am not sure if that is my problem.  I have a large house with a repeater/amplifiers(xpcr), an additional V572AB at the front gate 150' from the house which all worked great till now.  I just wanted to improve RF in the house to improve RF.  Now I have a new problem.  I really want the macros to work.

Any advice would be appreciated.  Will a new CM15A fix macro problems?
