Hi

I have a working home controller and the Active Home Pro software but I lost my current home confguration file. Is there a way to get the file back from the controller into the Active Home Pro program?

Thanks

No... unfortunately there isn't. It's important that users backup their ".ahx" files.. as they can become corrupt or lost with a hard drive. I keep mine on a flash drive as well as the backup external Hard Drive that I keep pictures and other files on.

Thanks Dave.

I am surprised that the config is a one-way only situation.

Does anyone know the file extension of the older active home files?

The old Active Home created .x10 files, Active Home Pro creates the .ahx files.  You can have as many custom .ahx files as you want. Active Home Pro will read .x10 files and convert them to .ahx files.

The old CM11A serial interface and the current CM15A USB interface are "one way".  You can upload to them, but can't extract the data from them.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!
