LED lighting used with X-10 will not turn off without thw use of a swamping resistor. Apparently the modules draw some current. Is there any way of overcoming this.

I use appliance modules with LED lights.  Some brands pick up the current draw from the triac and blink when the module is off, other brands don't.  The trick to stop the blink is to plug a 3 way tap into the module, then a 4 watt night light in one side and the lamp cord in the other.

A LM15A Socket Rocket is perfect for LEDs, every LM15A I have has a CFL in it.  LM15As do not dim.

I use SocketRockets with LED's. Often I used a variety of adapters so I can plug-in to the SocketRocket.

I "third" the Socket Rocket to control LED lights. They work very well.

As I run on solar power at the cottage I'm always trying to cut down on power consumption and still get some automated lighting!
I've tested LEDs with X10 some work with the SocketRocket and some don't  :(
All were very low wattage bulbs.
Another limitation is 2 way switches  :(
However:
The 3W GU10 120-Lumen White LED Light Bulb   do work in the SocketRocket and  2 way switches!  ;)

Adding a 4 watt night light is the same as adding a resistor to the circuit.
Remote control is cool,
but automation rules!

Yep!!!   All you need is an appliance module, a cube tap and a 4 watt night light.  No buzz, no flicker, no matter what size CFL you  use.  Don't want the night light to show?  Put it under a table, or chair, or in a small box.
