I don't know about Vanguard but if it's like any of the other software from x10 then you have to download it and intall it. This would probably be the first step. During the installation the software should tell you when to plug in the cm19 and the va11 into your usb ports. If by some chance you received a va12 instead of the va11 make sure your computer has usb2.0 ports.
Once the software is downloaded, installed, drivers installed for cm19 and va11 then the fun part begins. The cameras have addressable power supplies and each camera has to have its own address. Only one camera can be on at a time with the system you have. Example: c1 for cam1, c2 for cam2, c3 for cam3 and c4 for cam4.
Once you have all the addresses identified then you need to look at the frequency switches. On the cameras you will see a rubber oval plug on the front. If you remove this plug you will see the switch. A, B, C, D (these have Nothing to do with the camera addresses). This switch needs to be on the same setting on all cameras and receiver. On the receiver the switch is on the bottom of the unit.
Plug the rca jack from the receiver to the va11, and plugin into an outlet. You should see a red led light in the front. Point the ear antenna towards the location where the cameras are going to be.
Next, look at the tm751. You'll notice it only has a house code wheel and not a unit wheel. The tm751 is a transceiver that is used for one complete house code. Example: c1, c2, c3, c4 -----c16. Make sure the wheel is set to whatever the house code is for your cameras. Example: c. Now find a outlet fairly close to the cm19 that you plugged into your computer but not too close. The tm751 is going to receive its commands from the cm19 by radio frequency so you want to make sure your in range. Plug in the tm751.
Now plug in camera 1. Once you plug in a camera it will come on by default.
I would suggest setting up one camera at time. Plug one in, getting it to work then go to the next one.
From here someone else will probably have to kick in because I don't have Vanguard. So I wouldn't know where to start on setting up the cameras in the software. Hope this helps.
