All these video devices, yet no dvr?

I like the idea of the video commander, but I've never had a vcr that could record instantly. By the time the machine gets a record signal, winds the tape, goes into record mode, and starts capturing, the motion that triggered the system is already gone.

Why couldn't X10 offer a basic DVR? Sell a complete system, not just the accessories.

I agree! Or... if NOT X10.... anyone. Why not a combo video monitor, SD card DVR, digital picture frame.
