My clock will not stay corectly set for more
than a day or so. It is about 4 years old,
never had problems before, now I must reset
it every 2 days.

This the older cm11a serial controller?
If so have you also asked in the X10 forums?

I had the same trouble until I turned it over and plugged it in upside down.
the clock would run real fast

Interesting. Why would changing the polarity of the plug affect it? Is the outlet wired correctly?
