VCR Commander 2
« on: December 31, 2009, 12:21:55 AM »

Hi, I hope this is the right location for this thread...Anyway, I bought a X10 wireless daylight/lowlight camera, and it came with a motion sensor and VCR commander.  I am trying to set up the VCR thing, but when I get to the step of putting the remote up to the back of it, I can not get it to learn the commands.  Could someone please help me get this working? I have everything hooked up correctly, and the motion sensor is working.  Thanks in advance.

  • You have to be kinda quick to work within the time limits (no fooling around).
  • Be sure the remote your using has new full batteries.
  • I like the room to be nearly dark with no TV screen or PC monitor to mess up the IR.
  • Play with the distance from the remote to the commander.. touching, 1 inch, 3 inches.
  • Search for alternate (programming) directions
