Can anyone explain how to keep my posting window from jumping up and down.  When i write a post that goes past the bottom of the window, the cursor will go out of the window so I cannot see what I am typing.  This is just so aggravating as I have to fix allot of things as I go.  Any Ideas. B:(  Thanks.

I have that problem too.  It is almost impossible to use the forum editor for more than a dozen lines of text.  I write longer posts in Word or Notepad, and then just cut and past them in.

I have seen the samething if I do a winded long post.  ???

Now, if that just ain't the darnedest (Ohio colloquialism).  I just put a bunch of gibberish in this window to the tune of about 100 lines, and the post window developed a scroll bar on the right, much the same way any word processor would.

Am I missing something here, or did Firefox really come through for once?
Remote control is cool,
but automation rules!

Internet Explorer 8 here.  As I recall, the problem started soon after X10 made the formatting changes to the forum.

Could be IE8 as that is what I use. Even in compatibility mode.
The scroll bar shows but it jumps to the Top line when released after moving down.
I have a few other forums that act strange. Like real long page loads etc.

I may try Firefox.

The problem just maybe with explorer 8 and pre win7 editions. ???
I never have experienced this behaviour but never did update my XP machine with explorer 8.
I just didn't like the look or feel of it. ::)
My Windows 7 machine works as it is supposed to so looks like the issue was fixed with the new Windows build!

I have the same problem. I've taken to writting my longer posts in word... and then pasting them in here.

Thank You every one.  At least I know now that I was not missing something.. I was trying the notepad or word idea, and just thought I was doing something wrong.  Just one of those things I guess.

For those that want to know!
I found the fix for this! :)%
Seems X10 as we all know is slow at updating anything.  rofl ::) :'
internet Explorer 8 views sites differently to allow for better streaming and such! ::) :'
I updated to 8 on my XP machine and noticed in the install 8 asked about loading compatibility for out dated sites. So I loaded that came here and had the issues everyone is experiencing. B:(
I went to Tools\Compatibility and loaded X10s site to compatibility mode!
The forums posting|editing now works like it use to for me! :)%

Ya know I did that after I started this thread and have not even checked to see if it worked until now.

The compatibility fix is the way to go thanks Tuicemen

works for me also.   The notepad or word works for long posts too

Is their a way to add words to the spell check here.  Like AHP or CM15 and such.  Thanks

I turned it on for all sites for now. Until I can determine witch ones really need it.

I can't find the option from my end. Possibly an X10 admin can do it locally!
