Sending commands too IR543, need dimming codes.
« on: January 02, 2010, 01:14:14 PM »

Hi everyone,
I am a newbie here, and just wanna say you guys are very inspiring. I have been working on automating my house for 3 weeks now and it has been real fun.  My question is, I have a MX-3000 universal remote, that sends IR signals to my IR543 to control my x10 lights. I have found only one page that contains x10 IR commands on the web. But what i would like to do is set up my remote to that i can press an icon on my remote that say "50%" and it will dim my lights to 50%, i have only found IR commands for dimming my lights down, in steps and it takes a long time to get to 50%, So i was wondering if there is a IR command that will take my lights right too "50%" and also "20%, thanks for your time. You Guys Are Great! and i love "Dave's" youtube vids. Your everywhere dude.

In my Home Theater I used a Logitech/Harmony remote and a IR543. I had the same problem your having. Don't tell anyone... but I actually called the remotes tech support number to get the directions. You might try calling the MX-3000 people.
