I would doubt it.
I also remember there being a change in the base. Early pads and early bases worked with each other as did later pads and later bases; but could not mix a early with a later one.

Brian, that is true.  I have a couple of the late model bases and pads, and when I looked into ordering them I was told the same things.  The late model bases and pads are labeled as the A series XPT switches.

Thanks for the information.
I was looking at a few EBay and on line automation sites. Some also listed the later 'A' keypads and older ones.

Yes I recently purchased and installed the newer XPT with the XP2 keypad...But the keypads seem like cheap plastic and they aren't tight fitting..they rattle a bit..

The Leviton version looks much better, but If I could just buy one of their keypads and use the already installed XPT..that would be great

Not too sure how recent this X10Pro Cross reference is.

Well I looked up the leviton part number on that cross-ref and it was discontinued, but this may mean they're compatible

The keypads for the old Leviton 6400 base are 6450-XX, where the XX defines what type of keypad.  For example, the 6450-4A has 4 buttons that controls 3 lights, with the 4th button being ALL ON/OFF.  The 6450-4D is similar except the 4th button is Bright/Dim.  There may be some of these still kicking around on eBay.  I have a few old stock 6450-4A left (in ivory).

There were reports of reliability problems with the 6400 base.  That model was superseded by the Leviton 16400 base and 16450 keypads.  We use a bunch of them here, and they have worked flawlessly for the last 6 years.
