What is the difference? I'm looking to get better RF range for my X10 remotes.

I have had good range with both the RR501 and TM751.  The RR501 may give you the range you want.  If not, you should consider the WGL V572A, which is an excellent transceiver.

I got 2 RR501s yesterday from a seller on eBay and this solved my problems!! Now that the transceivers work together, unlike the TM571s I was using, I can control everything. The problem with the "range" I was having may have had more to do with the metal roof on the barn and the metal coated insulation board. With a transceiver in the house and the barn the RF signal never has to go through the metal and I can control everything no matter where I am, even in the driveway outside the barn,(to turn the front porch and house light on). I wished I new about the RR501s to begin with I could have saved a little $$ on the TM571s I bought originally.
Thanks alot to all of you guys for all the help you gave me!!

Glad to hear the RR501s corrected your situation.
Also thanks for posting the results.
