:-[ After installing Win7 and reinstalling AHP with latest update, I find that each time that I open the program I get the setup wizard. When I cancel the wizard, AHP proceeds to clear the interface (by "downloading" the empty module list) so that I have to manually load the ahx file that I used last.  I have tried going through the wizard and saving the resulting MyHome.ahx to simulate a complete install and setup. It still "thinks" that it's a first run and gives me the wizard. If I manually open the ahx file that I want to use, make a change and save, the same thing happens. I get the wizard upon restarting the program. If I manually open the ahx file that I want, download the definitions to the interface, then close the program, the whole system works fine.
I have looked in the registry for a "first run" flag and a "last opened" key, but can't find either one.

Does anyone have any ideas or even have the same problem?
Thanks,

1.  I don't use MYHome.ahx for anything.  It's one of two .ahx files that AHP has and are sample files.  When I first got AHP it was to replace Active Home, so I imported all my AH files and AHP converted them to .ahx files.   2. Sounds to me your AHP has somehow gotten corrupted, I suggest first save any .ahx files and then uninstall it.  Once that is done, delete all folders related to AHP and reboot, then re-install AHP. As to the MyHome.ahx file, rename it as the re-install will overwrite it with the "new" one.

Hi,
That's what I was afraid of, it was my next step but I wanted someone to tell me something that I didn't know that would fix this thing easily. Oh well, I'll do the reinstall.
 Thanks for your time

You are welcome.   What I posted is the "Atomic Bomb" of AHP.   It happens sometimes it's the only thing to cure massive AHP problems.  By the way, if you use the original file that was sent to you (It starts with "setup0.....) .  That will get you version 3.271, which is not in  the X10 Software Repository.

 :D Hi again,
That certainly did fix the problem! I used the last download pointer that was sent to me and I did get ver. 3.271 . Works like a charm now. Again thanks.

I had a problem yesterday, SOMETHING screwed up AHP and I had to totally remove it including both folders it creates. I did back up all my .ahx files before uninstalling.  I used the original file I got in 2005 (all that's backed up on a USB drive) to get 3.271.  That was installed and all my timers and single keypress macro work perfectly.

I suspect the buggy reports I and others made is due to fragments of older versions that never go away that cause it.
