When I pan my Sentinel Camera with the remote to the right, the picture dissappears everytime ... I still see the picture on my computer (VA12A) when the camera is centered or panned left.  I tried moving the VR36A and the Active Home Pro interface but it didn't help.  This camera was in the exact same spot and worked until I reinstalled everything.  I cleared the AHP by unplugging it from electric and there are not batteries in it and I unhooked it from the computer and downloaded my macros again.  I am using AHP 3.236.   I looked at my AHX file and it says Dirty...what does IsDirty mean and is this why I am having trouble ....  this is what I see in my AHX file

<AHXANT IsDirty="0" AutoConnectNumRings="2" AutoConnectNumCalls="2" AutoConnectMaxRingInterval="120" AutoConnectStayConnectedInterval="1800" AutoConnectEnable="0">

Sounds like a camera problem, not software. Do you have a video monitor you could plug directly in to Sentinel to see if video is intermitant out of camera, vs loss of video RF at the video receiver.

b]DELETE IT POST HASTE!!!!!![/b]  Also I suggest to downgrade to AHP version 3.228.  Go to http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/  and look for ahp_updt_204.exe.  Save that and apply it over what you have now.  When it is installed, use the update link to update to version 3.228. It will not affect your plug-ins.

For some reason my Sentinel camera works when it is hooked up to the TV and I can use the remote and see the picture pan on the TV.  I reinstalled all the software for Active Home Pro using Vista 64 compatibility including all the plugins and iwatchout and I can see my floodcams in Active Home Pro but when I switch using the tabs at the bottom to view the Sentinel I see snow and no picture.  I have two Sentinels and I can't see either one of them.   I use to see both Sentinels.  I have a UPS and installed software for that.  This is when I started to have trouble I think.  I tried unplugged the UPS and plugging my computer into the wall and I unplugged everything in my house and still no go.  I wonder if the Active Home Pro interface is becoming defective or something??

I also tried the newest CM15A driver file for windows 7 64 bit which it says is version 3.239 and that didn't work either.  X10 tech support told me I didn't need version 3.239
http://www.x10.com/support/support_soft1.htm

Funny thing is that the VA12A only wants to work in one of my USB ports and not others, and it refuses to work on this one port on the front of my computer that I previously had it installed on and working?

I updated my chipset and didn't update the bios but Active Home Pro was working before when the bios was not updated.

I can see the floodcams in Active Home Pro but not my Sentinels?

I am stumped!

Yes I have been reading that people have more reliability with AHP version 3.228 and I tried that to but I don't think 3.228 works with Windows 7.  I am not positive but it didn't work for me.

Now I have downloaded this Simple Video file

http://www.ihousehomeautomation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5&sid=49d0d49c1a179cce1083e410171ecbce

and tried it and I can see my floodcams but not the Sentinel when I push the button on the Sentinels remote.  The video is blinking when I view the floodcams with the floodcam remote and the one floodcam looked black when I opened the program a second time.  I opened Simple Video a third time and video is blinking but I can see all my floodcams.

I am using Windows 7 Professional
Computer is an Intel E7500 Duo Core 2.93 Ghz and Foxconn G41MX-F 2.0 motherboard
I installed all the newest drivers for the motherboard but did not update the Bios.... but the Sentinel Cameras worked before I updated and I didn't do anything different that I know of???

A good friend of mine is running Windows 7 64 bit and AHP 3.228 runs fine for him.

Well maybe I should try the older version of AHP because my vista SP2 version doesn't seem to be working and I have more than one instance of the cameras in preferences and AHP is crashing.

I did call tech support today about my 2 Sentinel Cameras and both are broken we figured out. Its no wonder I can't see the Sentinels in Active Home Pro but can see the floodcams.  And its no wonder when I pan the camera right the picture disappears .. its cause the Sentinels are broken.

I bought three Sentinel Cameras and this is the third Sentinel camera that has broken now.  Luckily I bought the 5 year extended warranty.  From Kelowna BC Canada it cost me $55 to send my first camera back due the cost to insure the camera or $600 and to mail it.  Wonder what it will cost to send two at a time?

Doesn't speak well of X10's "top of the line" camera.
