camera flickers

camera works with vanguard but flickers "no image" in ahp

Assuming you're using either the VA11A or VA12A as your capture device, did you end Vanguard before trying to access in AHP?  Neither of those devices likes to share access, so you should always try just one access program at a time.

va12a i did use one program at a time. ever so often on the flicker i can see a very fant image from camera.

OK, if it were me, the next thing I'd do is download the Simple Video test tool free from the iHouse forum at:
http://www.ihousehomeautomation.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=10

That should tell you whether it's a VA12A problem (probably not, since Vanguard seems to work) or an AHP problem.  If it's AHP, there are lots of good suggestions available here on the forum.  Let us know how the Simple Video test goes and I'm sure someone here will have some ideas.
