The CM15A is a self contained programmable controller that can send Power Line Control (PLC) signals as well as RF signals.  The CM15A can store programmed timers and macros and use flags to run even if the PC is off.

The CM19A is simply a USB connected RF transmitter, so you need either a TM751 or an RR501 to transfer the RF signals to PLC.  It cannot send PLC signals by itself because it does not plug directly into an outlet.  Also, the CM19A cannot store any data.  It needs to have the PC and software running in order for it to work.  All timers and macros must be run from the ActiveHome pro software or some other PC control software that supports the CM19A.

The CM19A can send and receive X10 RF commands.
So it can not process X10 Power line commands.

The CM15A also has both an X10 RF receiver and transmitter in it.
It also can send and receive power line commands.

What do you use the CM19A for anyway if you need a transceiver (TM751/RR501) to receive the RF signals and convert them to PLC signals.

Mine's picking up the RF signals from the motion sensors.

Dan; X10 has come up with a low cost package and use the CM19A to send commands to a TM751 to control X10 devices. Includes the basic AHP software. I still have not seen any confirmation the plain AHP Software can even control a CM19A.

PLC Power Line Control.
Many times I have seen PLC mean Power Line Controller.
Like my older Smarthome 1132CU is known as a PLC Powerline Controller. It does X10 signal processing for power line signals.

Ooof - I was using it to mean Power Line *Command*.   The X-10 command sent over the powerline, as opposed to  RF.

Thanks guys, I thought that was what you ment, just wanted to make sure. I know PLC as 'Programmable Logic Controller' so ws not sure if you had some other kit connected.

Yes I have also known PLC as a Programmable Logic Controller.
I worked with a few brands controlling paper handling equipment.
I never did any program assembly but had used source files to install a program in the controller.
