when i send an o6 from the leviton 16400 to the security light, the pool pump on o5 connected to a FWLROD turns on as well as the light. (o7 and o8 are also on FWLRODs). 'heyu off pool_pump' from the command line won't even turn it off. 'heyu on pool_pump' turned on the bug zapper. Are these complications of the O housecode? Or side effects of the FWLRODs?

all the FWLRODs are connected to one extension cord with a tap. the leviton 14600 is directly inline with the power for the pr511.

There is nothing unique about the O housecode (0100) that would cause a problem.

Both problems may be due to oxidized unit code contacts in the modules.  A single poor contact in each module could cause the effect you are seeing.

Spin the code wheels around a few times, and see it that helps.

So technically you could accidentally reset one to a different address. If power was applied and three X10 signals in a row where sent.

In the PR511 are any of the Sensor or Dusk Switches in the enabled position?

I'm starting to think it is the FWLRODs, not the housecode or the leviton 14600. The 3 FWLRODs are plugged into an extension cord with a tap which is plugged into the receptacle below the security light which has the 14600 in line with it (the receptacle and light are on different circuits). The security light never turns on falsely and the other outdoor lights on the O housecode never turn on falsely, only the items connected to the FWLRODs are playing these games with me...

no, I programmed them before i hooked them up outside near the roof. I was careful not to send any x10 signals for 30 seconds.

I can dig out an FWLROD and see if it is flaky on House Code O.

I am not familiar with the FWLROD becuse I have never used them myself.  Apparently they don't have code wheels like other X10 modules.  However what you describe certainly sounds like the code is set wrong.

Brandt; I set up two of them on O5 and O6 and they didn't seem to follow the other ones commands.
Have you checked that heyu has the correct addresses for the devices?

I have a couple also, and they seem to click ON and OFF just fine.  I set them to O5 and O6 right out of the box.  I agree with Jeff, I don't think the "O" House Code is inherently a bad one to use.  It's a mystery ?!

I'll try sending on and offs to these devices from both my cm11a and a maxi controller and see if i can replicate what is going on when using the leviton 14600

tried it with the cm11a and the maxi controller and the randomness is still there.

sometimes the fwlrods will come on randomly when the front light on O1 is triggered, and sometimes their own code won't even turn them on, and sometimes the correct code will turn them on.   Brian when you tested did you use 2 or more grouped together on a cube/power tap through one extension cord?

EDIT: Here is one odd occurence: I just tried to turn on the pool pump 4 times on the command line and nothing happened. Then I went to the leviton 14600 and turned on the party lights, and all the sudden both the party lights and the pool pump came on. Then I couldn't turn the pool pump off without first turning on the party lights. ODD!!

Yes, what you describe is really strange.  I have seen powerline noise "morph" one X10 command into another.  Have you checked that circuit for noise with the XTBM?
